On this day when so many people are claiming doom and gloom for our country, I want to take a moment to be thankful about some great things about America. (I wonder how much fear is fed by the media and their ‘if it bleeds it leads’ mentality? Sorry, I digress.)
- For the fact that most of America fears OBESITY rather than starvation, unlike most of the rest of the world. The majority of parents globally really do wonder how they are going to feed their children each and every day.
- For clean water that comes out of any number of faucets in my home.
- For immunizations that save MILLIONS of lives each year.
- For the overwhelming generosity of the majority of Americans. Whether helping here or around the world, America does a lot of giving.
- For our military.
- For nice paved roads and bridges.
- For the cars we have to drive on them.
- For a free election system.
So I invite our readers to share with us the things that you think make America great. (and no offense to our international readers – feel free to post about your country if you want.)
