What a beautiful baby girl!!! Congratulations to you both! I’ve been in San Marcos with my fam this weekend and I got to watch your videos with a big audience–Shawnaka, my Mom, my Aunt Christine and others walking through the room wondering what all the “oohs” and “aahhs” were about! We’ve been refreshing your home page all morning!

How exciting! We LOVED watching the videos and frankly can’t wait to get our hands on that precious baby! (Both boys said…”Isn’t she so cute!”) Unless the sound wasn’t working right, even Louanne was speechless holding her precious new baby girl! Isn’t God sooo good!
I loved seeing the stacking cups and Louanne already encouraging her…you both will be AWESOME parents. Thanks for sharing your special time with us back home….Keep those videos, pictures and updates coming as you have time!

I see a lot of similarities between her and my Suichuan baby. The way she reacted to you was exactly how Juna reacted to us on Gotcha. The way she is so inquisitive and playful is just how Juna was at the hotel, too. Juna continues to be such a playful little girl. Congrats and thanks for posting the video!

Thanks everyone. Your posts are so fun to see. Nadia and Daddy are sleeping now, but hopefully we will get more photos up tonight (China time) so you can see the cutie in her first full day with us. Watching the video just made me sob like a little baby. You can just tell that Nadia knew right away that this is her mommy and daddy. Your video was very touching. The first few seconds of the video where Mamma was trying not to burst into tears at the happiness of receving her child nearly made me teary.
As an aside, I suspect you are using the same agency we did (twice). When you mentioned your guide’s name was Michael, I was wondering if it was the same as “our” Michael from April of this year. In your video, I could hear his familiar voice shouting out suggestions. Tell Michael “Hi” from one of the 11 families he guided to Chongqing in April 2007!
He’s quirky and funny, but a very good guide.
Isn’t God just amazing? When I see the video of the three of you, I see complete trust in her eyes. It doesn’t get any better than that. She was definitely curious about you, so tired, so curious…. but VERY comfortable and trusting. The ONLY difference I see between Nadia and a baby that’s been with their family since birth is the curiosity in her eyes. In such a short time she’s smiling and playing. I do believe that God’s mighty hand has touched all the fine little details in all this. Your life is completely different now, but in a way that enhances it and beautifies it. I like to tell all new parents, don’t rush it…. they really do grow up in the blink of an eye. Nadia I can’t wait to meet you!!!! From your honorary Aunt Laura. Love you guys, and I can’t even put into words the emotion that controls me right now! What a blessing!
Congratulations! The end of one saga and the start of a new and great one. Next thing you know the years fly by and she’ll be saying: “But Daddy I love him!” NNOOOOO!!!! ha ha

I wanted to add that our handover was exactly like this! Our girl reacted in exactly the same way. She was all about the observing and the thinking. Also, I held out from the crying for about the same length of time!
We’ve been home eight months and our daughter has blossomed. She has adjusted beautifully so far. She’s still the One Who Watches And Thinks, she’s also full of intelligence, fun and energy. I’m sure Nadia will be exactly the same.
