Nadia had the chance in March to go to a little “training” with Grandmaster Pat Burleson. I wasn’t able to make it, but Mike got a lot of good photos and Nadia really enjoyed it. After that class time they got to watch Nadia’s Master Valdez test for his 7th degree blackbelt. She told me that she had a great time. Here is the video of Master Valdez doing his form which I thought was very cool.

At the end of March we were busy with trips to the zoo, our last classes for co-op this school year and enjoying the lovely spring weather.

My dad and Brooke drove up for the day to have a Mother’s Day lunch with my aunts and Grammie. After lunch they came over to our place for a quick visit before heading back to Houston.

We had Dani’s birthday party planned for breakfast at a park and the night before it looked like we might get rained out. We decided to go forward and as we were driving to set up, the rain hit. Our friends were great about it and the kids had a blast in the rain. In practically every photo I took, the kids are running!
Dani got really cold at one point and so Mike wrapped her up in his hoodie to keep her warm. She loved it.

The kids all had a blast and I am glad that we decided to go ahead and have a rainy party. The only thing we didn’t do was the pinata because I didn’t want the candy to get all muddy 🙂
