Hand Camp – 2015

At the end of April, Nadia and I joined Amelie at the Hand Camp that Scottish Rite puts on for upper limb difference kids. I was so happy that we got a spot to attend because I thought it would be so good for Amelie. Little did I know that they have breakout sessions for parents while the kids are off doing some of the stuff. I was so encouraged that we are doing the right thing for her. We don’t let her little fingers hold her back, we just expect that she will find her own way to do things like tie her shoes and climb rock walls. I am so glad that we went and really hope that we get a spot in 2016. Here are some photos from our fun filled weekend.

Colorado April 2015

Jessica bought all the girls Batgirl tank tops. So cute!

The original plan for the stop in CO was to surprise Jess for her birthday. But a couple days before we came Randy realized that she would be totally stressed out if we just showed up and the house wasn’t ready. He knows her well and so he told her. She was totally excited and happy that she could get the house ready and have fun. HA! We had a great time with the Peterman’s like we always do. The girls play around the clock and the adults talk and laugh.

We went up to an adorable town called Louisville on one of the days. We had lunch at Lulu’s BBQ and then dessert at a place called Huckleberry and the food was great at both places. The girls played at an adorable park while the adults chatted.

There was a tiny bit of snow to play in so Dani wanted to investigate.

As always we were sad when it was time to go, but I am glad that we snuck in a trip.

From Calif to Colorado – April 2015

The morning after our two days at Disney we hit the road for Colorado so we could see the Peterman’s. It took us two days to get there with an overnight stop in Utah. We saw A LOT of amazing views. I have never been to Utah, but have always heard about it’s beauty. We woke up in the hotel in Utah to snow on the ground. We didn’t have any coats with us because when we left TX a week earlier snow wasn’t in the forecast. Here are some of the photos we took on the two day drive.
