Nadia Loves the Quebe Sisters

The Quebe Sisters go to our church and they all play the fiddle and sing. They play some awesome bluegrass and have remade some great oldies like “Georgia on My Mind” Here is their website if you want to find out more:

If it’s possible for a 2 year old to have a favorite band, they are Nadia’s 🙂 Here is a little video I put together of Nadia singing along to “So Long To the Red River Valley”

Well it only took me a year to get the photos uploaded.  We are preparing to go to our 2 year travel group reunion and I thought I better get these up from last year. HA HA!  Six of the 9 families were able to attend and we had it in Austin, Tx where one of the families lives.

The first night we had dinner at a yummy tex-mex place and went to a cupcake stand called, “Hey Cupcake”. They had giant cupcakes in various flavors that were delicious. The girls were far more interested in the rocks on the ground.

The next day we went to our adoption agencies yearly picnic at a lake in Austin.

After nap time we headed over to one of the families house’s for some wonderful local pizza. We attempted a “purple couch” photo which went about as well as the red couch photo in China.

We had a wonderful time catching up and seeing how much the girls have grown. And while packing up our hotel room Mike took one of our favorite photos of Nadia ever.

Last week Nadia and I went to Sugarland to visit my cousin Jen. The first night there we went to Lisa’s restaurant Pearl Dynasty for dinner and a visit. Here are the girls after dinner watching a video.

The next morning we headed to the Children’s Museum of Houston and Jen’s good friend Trudy and her son Chase joined us for the adventure. It’s safe to say that the place is awesome! I don’t think we even saw everything before the kids were worn out and we headed home.

That night my Aunt Jane and Uncle Perry came over for dinner cooked by Jen (homemade spaghetti and meatballs – yum!) Here is a photo of Aunt Jane reading Nadia’s current favorite book “A Mother for Choco”

The next morning we had breakfast and Jen introduced me to a store called Charming Charlie’s which is like accessory overload, but very cool. On the way home we stopped in College Station to have lunch with Tahni, but that will be a separate post. And here are the cutest sunglasses that Jen bought Nadia is Baltimore.
