Last week we hosted the 2nd annual PJ Book Exchange Party at our house. Basic rules are as follows – children AND mom’s have to wear PJ’s. Bring a wrapped book for the exchange and a pot luck dish for lunch. Give all the kids access to the toys and a fun time ensues.

Nadia’s Radio Flyer car is always a hit with the kids. I loved this photo of Matthew and Caleb.

Christmas was spread out over a week and Nadia had lots of fun. Joy and Janis came over and gave her the Busy Bee Band. It came with a xylophone, tambourine, drumsticks, shaker and more. They also gave her some Crayola kids music CD’s.

The day after Christmas a box came from Aunt Sharon, Grandma Linda and the rest of the MO crew. It’s like a little people explosion here at the house and Nadia loves it. She got the Nativity scene, airplane and boat. And the boat really floats in the bath which Nadia thinks is great.

In this photo she was going, “Vroom, vroom. Don’t crash!!!!!”

“Picnic on the Patio”

Here are a few shots from Nadia’s Christmas gift she got early. The weather has been so nice that she has been having a great time in there.

Mike finished putting it together while Nadia was sleeping and I was at a staff meeting at church. This is what I saw when I got home.

Grammie came over for their weekly “playdate” and here they are having a great time.

This Christmas season has been so much fun this year because Nadia understands so much more and has been so interested in everything. We gave her the big gift from us Thanksgiving weekend because the weather has been so nice. It’s called “Picnic on the Patio” and she loves to go inside and “cook” for us.

Christmas Day 2008

On Christmas morning she had a great time opening presents and then spent most of the day in her Radio Flyer Sport Coupe from Papa and Grandma. She got books from Nonni and Poppi and she wanted to sit in the car and have them read to her. She wanted to eat and drink in there and I am sure that if we would let her find a way to sleep in there, she would. George rides shot gun on most days, but the “babies” do get to ride quite often.

We took a walk because the weather was so nice on Christmas day and Nadia enjoyed driving her car around the neighborhood.
