My birthday celebrations!

I am a big fan of birthday celebrations – for me and for everyone else! This year I decided I wanted pumpkin pie instead of making myself a cake so we picked one up at Costco. I had to run an errand and when I got home Mike and the girls had a surprise waiting for me. Mike had gone to the store and picked up whipped cream to have with my pie. YUM!

I had a birthday lunch with my friend Laura which was nice because we hadn’t seen each other in a while.

LuluPops from Laura. YUM! I also went out to dinner one night with some of my girl friends but we didn’t take a photo. It was a great birthday week of celebrations!

My birthday gift from my sister Tahni was family photos and I just love how they turned out. Here is just one.

An October 2016 visit

In October our friends came to town for the Texas/OU football game. Shawn and Alyssa met up with us for lunch at Pei Wei and then we went to a paint your own pottery place. Shawn and Alan adopted Alyssa shortly after we adopted Nadia and we met them during the very long wait. We have gone to China camp with them and when they come to Texas we try to connect.

Look how cute!!!

A couple weeks later I picked up the pottery and shipped Alyssa’s cupcake to her. All the girls did a great job.

Thankful Thursday

Lunch at Freebirds.
Amelie and Dani helped me bake the cake. Nadia decorated.
  • We are so thankful for Mike. He is the best husband and father in the world. We celebrated his birthday yesterday with lunch and Freebirds and cake by the girls. YUM!
  • The girls are also thankful he continued the tradition of taking them to Target where he picks out a gift for them. They all got Pokemon cards and deck holders.
