Olympics Party

Charlotte’s mom Melissa invited us over for an Olympics cookie decorating party in August. She had a massively fun cookie set up with so much candy. She had flags on the table for reference and the girls jumped right in to make their designs. We also had lunch together and the girls had a fun time swimming and playing.

We had such a fun time and I was just so excited to find another mom with so great a love of candy and the Olympics! Thanks for hosting us!

Houston Trip – August 2016

In August the girls and I took a road trip down to Houston to visit family and friends. We stayed with my Dad and Brooke and had a great time. The first night we hung out with Papa and Grandma until it was time to meet for a late dinner with Lisa and her kids Angelina and Matthew. Angelina and Nadia were in cribs next to each other in China and adopted on the same day. It’s always great to see the kids together.

The next day we met some of Papa and Grandma’s friends for a delicious breakfast of migas and then headed to the Houston zoo. We were trying to get there in time to see the elephants get a bath. Amelie was so excited to see all the elephants they have at the Houston zoo.

Nadia was OVER THE MOON excited to feed a giraffe.

Dani was so cute sticking her tongue out at the same time.

I haven’t been to the Houston zoo for about 2 decades and was so impressed with all the upgrades and beauty that has been added. We all had a great time.

The next morning we had breakfast and then headed over to my cousin Jenn’s house so we could see her kiddos and so we could finally see her youngest Creed. I was afraid he was going to be like 10 before I saw him in person 🙂

Creed LOVED Amelie and was so cute letting her hold him.

Olivia with her Taggie and our Taggie! So cute. After a fun morning of play we hit the road to head for home. It was a great visit to Houston.

Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the co-op kids in my class this semester. This was from the last day before our break. We learned about building bridges and then made our own out of gumdrops and toothpicks.
