Stockyards Field Trip

In mid-February Nadia and Amelie went with their Texas History co-op classes to a field trip of the Fort Worth Stockyards. They had an awesome time and here are some of the photos from people who were there.

Nadia and Amelie loved this maze so much! They talked about it for days and how cool it was. Thanks to my friend Marti for organizing this fun day for the kids!

Mike’s 50th birthday celebrations!

The Saturday before Mike’s birthday we met up with our wonderful friends for dinner at Boi Na Braza. It’s a Brazilian steakhouse and I knew the girls were going to get a kick out of it! Of course they liked getting stuff off the buffet like rice with meat in it and croutons. Then the serious stuff started with the men bringing more and more and more kinds of meat to the table. They loved it! Dani said her favorite thing was that the food kept coming and coming. We had a great time like we always do chatting and laughing. At the end we had dessert and Dani was excited about two things – one that Laura let her get her own piece of carrot cake, and two that Mike’s plate had letters made of chocolate sauce which she quickly asked to put her fingers in.

Mike picked Buca di Beppo for his birthday dinner. YUM!

And Mike kept up his tradition of buying gifts for the the girls instead of us giving him gifts. They just love it!
