Early Halloween with my mom

Group Shot with my mom Stephanie and Mike’s mom Linda.

My mom came to visit from California the week before Halloween. We planned to go to Boo at the Zoo and I borrowed a costume from my friend Laura for my mom to wear. Then torrential rain started a few hours before she flew in and it looked like our chances for that went out the window. But the nursing home where Mike’s mom lives was having their Halloween party and so we all got dressed and headed over there for the evening. The residents gave out candy and the girls played games to earn even more candy.

We stopped and picked up to-go food at Freebirds and then headed home. It was a fun little night!

October 17, 2015

Dani cracks me up in this photo.

We started the day with a Star Wars birthday party for our friend Carter! It was at a park and lots of fun!

Then Nadia made a rainbow loom outfit for her toy rat.

Then Papa and Grandma came to town and they played for hours.

It was a fun day all around 🙂

My 40th birthday!

In October I turned 40 and I basically celebrated for a month with a lot of different people rather than have a party! On the actual day we were driving home from our beach trip so we stopped for BBQ for lunch on the road at a super yummy place in a small Texas town.

My friend Tricia put together a dinner at Cane Rosso with my friends from church. It was so fun!

My wonderful friend Laura and I went to PF Changs one night!

Laura and Lina made me a mash up cake pop boquet to match all my mash up T-shirts. I screamed when Laura handed it to me!! TARDIS cake pops = AMAZING!! I didn’t take photos of every celebration, but it sure was fun since it was a BIG birthday!

Grammie’s Birthday

My Grammie had to be moved to an assisted living place in September and it’s been a serious transition. She is doing well now and the place my aunts found for her is wonderful. Nadia even told me I should go live there when I am old 😉 We went out with my Aunt Paula and Grammie on her actual birthday for Taco Tuesday at Rosa’s and then ice cream at Braums. Later in the week Roger and Paula set up a little party for her at her assisted living place. Quite a few people drove in for the event and they even arranged for her old boss to come and visit which made her so happy. Her oldest friend GeorgeAnn was there along with her kids. It was a really nice time to celebrate Grammie. We love you Grammie!
