Magic School Bus – The Human Body

Nadia has been wanting to learn as much as possible about biology and so we decided to do the Magic School Bus: A Journey into the Human Body science kit. The full color workbook that comes with it is filled with cool facts about the body. There is an experiment on muscles, joints, the heart, taste, and more. The kit comes with everything except basic things found in the house like a water bottle and food coloring.

I think the Magic School Bus experiments are fun for all kids, but especially those who already like the show. We have 10 more in our set, so I will continue to post as we complete them. {affiliate link included in this post}

The Polar Express 2014

My sister and her friend Brendan joined us for the Polar Express PJ party while they were visiting us. They even bought new PJ’s for the event which I thought was fun! We have never attended a night time party and it was different and really fun. They had a photo op with Santa and Mrs. Claus, science experiments, hot cocoa and a conductor going around handing out Polar Express tickets. Nadia was so excited for her yearly photo with Dynamo the Dino, but Dani wanted no part of that and ran to me instead. She also wanted to watch the movie, but the sound was too loud for her, so I moved into the quiet room with her and she did fine for the rest of the movie.

Interlochen 2014

Every year we drive over to a neighborhood in our area called Interlochen to see the light display. Last year a lot of houses were for sale so there weren’t the usual elaborate displays. This year they changed the path and a lot of new displays were up which was really fun to see. Dani just kept squealing with excitement which was funny.
