This first photo is one of Gwen’s Senior photos that was taken by Megan Jones of MJ Studios.
Our nieces Jade and Gwen both had graduations last week. Jade from college and Gwen from high school. I would like to thank Amy H. for these photos since we couldn’t be there. We love you guys very much!
I am praising God and so thankful for the following email that came in tonight!! I cried tears of joy when Mike read this email to me.
This morning, the tube down Cynthia’s throat was removed and she was offered ice on which to chew. She asked for Adrian…and has shown slight noticeable improvement since.
Cynthia softly asked, “What happened to me?” “Where is my purse?” “How is Jaida (her Kids Hope kid) ?”
She greeted Marilyn and me with a smile and a raised arm. She tried to sing the Doxology with Darwin and Kaye. She smiled at John Weiser’s suggestion that the worship bulletin needed to be finished tomorrow.
These things indicate that she has a growing awareness of her surroundings. I have no medical information to provide.
From tomorrow, a family member will stay with Cynthia in her room during the day, and a FWPC person will be enlisted to pass each night in her room’s recliner, so that the family can be adequately rested.
We serve a great God.
Alan
Here is a photo of Cynthia and Adrian from the “Wild About Life” fundraiser for Pregnancy Lifeline we attended last month.
On May 9th we participated in the Walk For Life. It’s a 2 mile walk and I was able to raise $500 from my sponsors. It was starting to rain, but we were glad it ended up as a heavy mist. Nadia was ready to go with her new umbrella from Eddie and Kim 🙂 Thanks to everyone who sponsored me to help save the lives of babies across the state.

After the walk we headed to the stockyards to get Nadia some new boots, which were shown in the Mother’s Day post.
That evening we went to Pappasito’s to celebrate our friend Travis’ graduation from TCU nursing school. Here is the cool cake his wife ordered. It’s the helmet he wore for 6 months last year after his brain surgery topped with a graduation cap. Perfect!
Here we are at the restaurant.
Louanne and Chrissie (Travis’ wife).
This was Nadia on the way to the party saying, “Do you like my party hat?” (from ‘Go Dog Go’) It’s the can holder insert from our car.
You may wonder why I picked this photo for the first one and it’s just because I love it! It was taken after lunch before we all headed out and I just love Tahni and I laughing about whatever.
Tahni graduated from Texas A&M last Friday and after the ceremony we met everyone down at Christoper’s World Grille for lunch. The food was wonderful and the place is a really cool renovated farm house. It seemed like Nadia was the only child in the whole place, but she did great as always. Here we are at lunch.
