Bath time fun and a new toy

Bath time

Nadia’s hair is getting so long that it sticks out all directions when it’s wet. It was so entertaining to me that I had to snap a few shots during and after the bath.

After Bath

Crazy hair

So it’s not really a “new” toy because we bought it 2 years ago at IKEA after our paperwork went to China, but it’s new to Nadia 🙂

Here we are at the Water Gardens in Fort Worth. It was a beautiful day out and we followed it up with dinner at Pappasitos. Click on the photo above to see the whole album or go to the photos tab at the top.

Memorial Day

We are grateful for all the Veterans who have served our country with honor to protect our country and keep us safe. We are also grateful for all the men and women of our country currently serving in the Armed Forces. And thanks to all your families who have made sacrifices with you.

To Matt and Jeff – thanks for your service to our country with the Screaming Eagles (101st Airborne) in Iraq.

Today we remember especially Mike’s dad who was killed in Vietnam in ’69 and his cousin who was killed in Iraq in December of 2005.

There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am for the sacrifice that the armed services make for us each and every day.

**Recommended Memorial Day reading – “Beyond Band of Brothers by Major Dick Winters” If you enjoyed the HBO series you will love this book. If you are local, let me know if you want to borrow our copy.

Weddings & Build A Bear

Aren’t weddings great? My cousin Evan got married to Courtney last night and it was just beautiful! I loved the music and the service and the reception. It was just great. My sisters were visiting with us and we all had a nice weekend. I was dancing around like crazy, but those who know me have come to expect that. Mike got some awesome photos. Courtney’s dress was so classy and she looked fantastic!

In the morning Mike, Tahni, Bayli and I all hit Build A Bear to make some Bears for orphans. Every Build A Bear in America had 200 bears that could be stuffed for free Saturday morning. Then we bought outfits for all 4 and put them in the box to be shipped off. It’s just awesome how many kids around the world are going to get these toys – many orphans around the world don’t have a thing to themselves. What a great idea and hat’s off to Build A Bear! The cashier even let us use a coupon for the clothes we bought which I thought was very kind and unexpected.
