Thanksgiving Craft day
Louanne on Nov 20th 2009
We hosted a Thanksgiving Craft day at the house last week and had a great time. Some of the kids didn’t want to craft, they just wanted to play which was just fine. Here are a few photos.

National Night Out
Louanne on Nov 19th 2009
I am on the board of our HOA and so had to be a part of the National Night Out in October. It ended up being such a neat night because 4 other HOA’s went in with us and we had one big event. Fire Trucks came and Nadia even got to go up inside one when the fireman gave her a tour. The SWAT team came, but we could only look at the outside of their vehicle
There was a guy making balloon animals and he said to Nadia, “Would you like a heart or a flower?” She responded with “A HORSE!” He was so surprised and told me so, but he made her a horse hat.
There was a lot of other stuff going on, I forgot my camera because I was getting other stuff ready for the night. So Mike snapped some photos of us in our get-up’s when we got home.

Thankful Thursday
Louanne on Nov 19th 2009
- I am thankful for my job at World Vision. I have taken a part time job as an area manager for the Child Ambassadors (of which I have been one since 2005). My job is to encourage and motivate the CA’s in 5 states to keep on telling people about how they can help make a difference in the life of a child and their family.
- I am thankful that one of my CA’s got 4 kids sponsored last night.
- I am thankful that Tahni did a presentation for me at the beginning of the month and 20 children were sponsored!!!!! She was able to speak about meeting her sponsored child in the summer of 2008 in Senegal. Too cool.
- I am thankful for ALL the people who have sponsored children through me in the last 4 years. God Bless you for your kindness to the children that the world has forgotten.
